Doula Mentorship with Jacquelyn Duke
Maybe you just need some help getting your business started on the right foot. Or maybe you need an experienced doula's ear to process a difficult birth you've attended...Perhaps you have questions about something you saw at a birth. Was it normal? What is the appropriate role for a doula in that situation?
I've been to many, many births over the years and I LOVE sharing my experiences and helping new doulas get started! Just choose the package that sounds right for you, but don't feel constrained by the questions listed here. These are just examples of things I have helped other new doulas process. So go grab a cup of coffee and your computer, find a comfy spot to snuggle up, and join me for a meeting - because sometimes doulas need some "doula-ing" too!!! |
This e-course from Leonie Dawson is one of my favs!!! |
Doula Mentorship - Starting Your BusinessMeetings are booked in 30 minute increments, $50/30 min. Meetings will be held using Facetime video conferencing, unless you'd prefer a phone call. How much we are able to cover depends entirely on how many questions you have and your individual business. I suggest starting with 1-2 hours, and we can see what kind of guidance you still need after that point! If Any of These Questions Sound Familiar, Doula Mentorship Might Be Right for You! How do I write a labor doula contract? Do I even need a contract?!? - Should I offer free births to get started? - How do I find clients? - Where should I get my marketing materials? - Do I need a logo? - How do I build a website? Should I hire someone? - How do I legally form a business? - Should I be the doula for my friends and family? - How do I market my business? - Do I need insurance? - How do back up arrangements work? - How do I find a back up that will be a good fit for my clients? - What professional organizations should I consider joining? - Is it important to re-certify??? |
Doula Mentorship - Growing Pains/Birth ProcessingMeetings are booked in 30 minute increments, at $50 per 30 min. Meetings will be held virtually using FaceTime video conferencing, unless you'd prefer a basic phone call. This package is intended to offer an opportunity to process the more difficult side of what we do as doulas. Perhaps you've recently attended a bereavement birth and you need someone to talk to, or you are preparing to attend an expected stillbirth and you want more information on your role as a doula. Or maybe you witnessed something that rubbed you wrong at a birth, but the parents were fine with it. It can be helpful to talk to an experienced doula to process these experiences for yourself. View this package as your opportunity to share a cup of coffee or tea with a friend that understands the challenges in your particular line of work. I will offer feedback as desired, or I can just listen! |
