Back Up Doula Support:

I take a very limited number of repeat clients, due to my other commitments as a childbirth instructor, wife, realtor and mother of young children.  The odds of an overlap in births is therefore very slim.

However, the perfect storm COULD happen, no matter how hard we try as doulas to avoid it...ultimately, birth is unpredictable, and so is life!!! I am pleased to be able to offer back up support from a number of excellent, experienced doulas, creating a team of support to make sure ALL of our mamas are in capable hands - no matter what life throws our way!

Based on the time of year of your birth, other doulas' birth schedules, personalities, etc., I will have arranged for at least 2 other doulas to be available as back ups. We hold "Meet the Back Up" nights at Cafe Diem in Ankeny.
